Hi, my name is Suiá and I am fundraising to help my close uncle and his family with 4 kids and also my cousin who is a single mum with 3 kids who lost their houses and everything else during the floods and landslides in Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil.

Canoas is the name of the city they live in and unfortunately the most affected area in Rio Grande do Sul.

Moreover, 18,847 people have been sheltered, almost 116,000 displaced, and 844,673 affected across 341 municipalities.

National authorities have rescued more than 1,000 people through rescue and emergency operations, as reported by the Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul.

Unfortunately their experience like for many others was very traumatic.

They were trapped on a rooftop for almost 12 hours waiting for help as the water continued to rise and they saw dead bodies floating everywhere.

It is a very tragic story but at least they survived and they are okay.

I am here asking your support with all my heart to help these 2 families to buy some clothes, food and maybe give them some hope that things will get better and we are with them ❤️
