Lish and Vikingr are part of our broader SCA family, one that stretches across borders, whether provincial, state, country, or Kingdom, and they’ve fallen on hard times.

Not only is Lish pregnant (YAY!), but she also recently lost an eye in a horrible work accident. I know they could use some peace of mind and support from our community as they find their way forward through this difficult new path.

I’ll leave you with her own words, since she’ll say it far better than I ever could.

"Some good news bad news.

Good news: Shawn and I are having a baby! I’m 16 weeks in, due in April. We saw the baby yesterday before surgery and it was going good, even though it was upside down and we saw its butt.

Bad news: I had a bad accident at work yesterday morning. I caught a nasty kick back off the table saw. It shattered my safety glasses and crushed my right eye. The eye has been removed and they stitched up my eyelid, which was pretty damaged.

I don’t know what help we’re going to need in the coming weeks, just some space and time to heal right now would be good. You can comment here or message me, I’ll get back to you as I can.
