Donate to help me get to Cambodia with Camps International

Hi. I am Taylor Harding, from the North East of England. I am on a 2 year fundraising journey, towards a charitable work expedition to Cambodia in July 2027 with my school and Camps International.

The main reason for our trip, is to provide help to the local communities in Cambodia, which remains one of the poorest countries in the world. Seasonal food shortages and lack of employment opportunities leave rural people vulnerable to continued and increased poverty.​ We will work on a number of projects including school renovations, reforestation, building toilet blocks or wells and working in their gardens and farms to provide food production during the dry season.

Undoubtedly this trip will be the opportunity of a lifetime to make a tangible difference to the people we will temporarily live with, but it will also be a huge development opportunity for me, as I start the next chapter of my life after finishing my GCSEs just before the trip. I am sure it will be a challenge in a lot of ways, with lots of hard physical labour, but it will also be an amazing chance to see a new part of the world, build team building and communication skills and learn about the history, culture and language of this fantastic country.

I would be so grateful if you could help me reach my goal of £5,000. In addition to this GoFundMe page, I will be doing some sponsored challenges like litter picking, organising local events and running a tuck shop at my basketball team training sessions, amongst other things.
