Hello, I’m Lucas Tavares, a 16-year-old who has a love for mission and a heart for service. One of my favorite things to do is respond to disasters statewide and internationally to share hope and the love of Jesus with hurting people. Some of the disasters I’ve responded to are the LA fires, Hurricane Helene in FL and NC, Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, and more! Also, I received some dental training in Senegal in November where I learned how to fill caries and scale teeth. And I want to take those skills and use them by doing dental clinics in third world countries where people can't afford dental care. But I need your support! Being 16 means still finishing up high school through homeschooling and not being rich! And obviously, most things in today’s world require money, whether it’s volunteer work or not, and this is no different! I need funds for travel expenses to respond to disasters as well as rescue gear and training for technical rescue skills!
