I am Andre Degas, filmmaker, and this initiative is to raise post-production funds for LifeCycle, the 29 minute documentary chronicles the struggles and triumphs of a multi-racial family when they are faced with closing down their iconic Bike Shop in the Hell's Kitchen section of Manhattan.
Enoch, an 81-year-old Latino hailing survives ageism, sickness, and big business demands in a changing urban landscape. Through faith and the support of Pat Hooper, his American wife of fifty-three years, and his thirty-seven-year-old son Cary, who steps up and takes over Enoch's Bike Shop and turns it into Enoch's Cafe, a place where music, poetry, and art serve and rejuvenate the old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen.
The generaltional documentary is completely edited and we have interest from WNET and NJPublic Station. We need to Color correct the video and Mix the audio, in order to attain a broadcast date.
