It is with great sadness and our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved fellow Nigerian, husband, and father, Ebenezer Adesanya Balogun. Mr Balogun’s sudden and sad demise took place on the 19th of March, 2023, barely 11 days after relocating to Bradford and the United Kingdom with his wife and 4 kids, the oldest of whom was 11 and the youngest barely a year old.

 

This tragedy has stung not only his immediate family but the entire Nigerian family in Bradford; the pathetic situation was immediately felt by the NCAB excos who visited the family.

 

The wife is currently struggling with the cost of the funeral, which amounts to £5000. We are raising an additional £5000 for the family for their upkeep pending the time the wife will be able to start working as they will need to pay for bills, rent and feeding.

She is unable to raise this money, and the body is just lying at the mortuary. They have given them the deadline of April 17 to bury him; if not, they will be charged daily for the mortuary service.

 

According to the wife, they had sold off their properties in Nigeria before relocating, hence they don't have means of raising the money.

 

Given this development, we solicit the support of all Nigerians and non-Nigerians to help contribute towards the burial fee.
