Hi, my name is Jen and, on behalf of his friends in Giles County, I've volunteered to fundraise for Jason Dunn and his family due to their recent tragic loss.

Jason is a single father of two children, Sylas (10) and Sadie (7). He had recently moved back to his hometown of Pearisburg, VA to raise his children with his partner, Crystal Candler, and her two children, Leelyn (10) and Ashlyn (5). Jason and Crystal were expecting a baby boy together, as well.

At 35 weeks into her pregnancy, Crystal experienced a medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital. Baby Maddox Arnett Dunn entered the world via c-section, weighing 5 pounds. What should have been a joyous welcoming of their new family member quickly took a tragic turn when Crystal passed away from a brain bleed.

Maddox is doing amazingly well, although he remains in the NICU in Roanoke, VA. Jason is now coping with the unimaginable loss of his partner, while also making the daily 2-hour commute to Roanoke to see the baby before returning home to pick up Sylas and Sadie from school. Although Crystal's children are currently residing with grandparents, they also want and need to be a part of their new brother's life.

Jason is looking for a home to rent for his young family. These funds will help him secure sufficient housing, and also help offsest the cost of travel back and forth to the hospital, along with the costs associated with feeding and clothing at least three little ones.
