Hi, I am reaching out for help for my cousin, Chris and his wife Beth, whom is battling a brave fight against breast cancer. Beth is a working mother of three beautiful children.

On October 26, 2023, she was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. After meeting with the cancer team and having a plan, surgery was scheduled. On December 12, 2023, she had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. What was supposed to be a tough, but smooth recovery, turned into a 9 week nightmare. There were so many issues with incisions and wound care that chemotherapy was pushed back 3 times due to the risk of infection. She started chemotherapy on February 27th and will have 4 rounds of the first cycle followed by 8 rounds of the 2nd. She has used sick/vacation days of her own and donated time from others to cover my time off from work during FMLA, but that ends today. Her oncologist isn't comfortable releasing her to go back to work because of the risk of infection. Therefore, she won't have any income .However she still has the burden of copays, prescription costs, back and forth appointments multiple times a week, all on top of regular day to day expenses.
