My name is Harvey, and I am one of the lucky 36 from Bedfordshire to be selected (out of over 100) to go to the World Scout Jamboree in Poland. It is an incredible opportunity, where I will learn many skills for life, increase my confidence, learn about other cultures, and so much more.
I have wanted to attend the Jamboree since I started scouting, at just 6 years old. I had received the unit badge for the then current Bedfordshire contingent, and since then, it has been a goal for me to attend. This opportunity is incredibly rare, I will only ever get one chance to go in my scouting career, and I’m extremely grateful that this opportunity has been given to me.
I am raising £3,500 to go towards my attendance at the event, and to help many other scouts and young people from less fortunate countries afford the high cost of attending. To be able to help less fortunate scouts, I need your help to get me to my target.
To aid my fundraising, I have been very busy making all sorts of crafts, and supporting events across the county. I am a diligent car washer, a composed painter, and an efficient paracord weaver.
I would really appreciate all forms of support, if you have any astounding fundraising ideas, ways to reach more people, or companies you know of that can give grants, please contact me.
Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
