I can’t believe I’m even having to write this and it’s come as a complete shock to us all as a family. To be told that my brother in law has stage 4 cancer. I feel like there are no words to describe the pain and emotion my sister, my nieces and us as a family are going through. Feeling helpless that I can’t do anything to help so my only way of trying to do something to help is raise as much money as I can for Ben, my sister and my beautiful 2 nieces. Nobody should ever have to go through this in life.

The whole situation has come as a massive shock having it in his kidney spread to lymph nodes and in to his lung. Being told 2/3 years at best I want to do all I can to raise as much money for Ben to get the best treatment and to be able to enjoy the time he has with my sister and 2 nieces.

Ben has worked all his life and then to be told he won’t work again and get no help is ridiculous. They still have a house to pay, children to look after. It’s crazy you work all your life and don’t get any help when it’s needed most. What a world we live in when you’ve worked every day of your life.

I am going to do some challenges along the way to keep raising as much money as possible. As that’s the least I can do.

I am going to be walking from Gnosall to Stoke Hospital. (18 miles) Walking from where they live to where Ben has to keep going for appointments and treatment.
