My name is Mariam, and I am raising urgent funds to support my aunt Hadessa Sangarkhail and her family—eight individuals in total—who are being deported from Pakistan to Afghanistan under the government’s recent directive affecting Afghan refugees.

Despite having lived in Pakistan legally for decades—and with children who were born and raised there—afghan people have been given notice to leave the country. They are now being sent to a place where they have no home, no financial resources, and no support network..

We’re raising funds to help cover the urgent costs of:

• Renting a safe place to live for at least the first month

• Basic essentials like food, water, rent, electricity and water bills. transportation of their belongings
