my name is Emma and I'm a mum to an incredible autistic little one Ethan. We are about to be evicted, with no where to go and I guess this is my last cry for help, to try and gather the funds to keep our house.

I don't really know where to start with the explanation but if anyone wants to get in touch for more in-depth details I'd be happy to answer. Problems all started during pandemic (as for many people) and then again once I was hospitalized the year after and during both instances had zero support so the hole just got bigger.
We have a very incompetent housing association (to give you an example we had the same cladding as Grenfell and they changed it by putting on exactly the same cladding on again, so we have had the work done twice with all the costs put back on us with service charge costs increasing by ridiculous amounts each year like by £3k during the pandemic when we had no income).

I am holding on purely because of little one. I'm at the end of the line and ashamed to say but more days than not now I would just give up on life if it wasn't for him. sorry this is hard to write. to be able to keep the house now they have taken possession, I am being forced to pay a huge amount of money, which obviously I don't have. if it was just me I'd give up and whatever happens to me happens. But unfortunately with my incredible little boy its just not an option to keep changing location, to sleep on a sofa or just cling on however we can. He is diagnosed non-verbal autistic with high support needs. I'm already trying to juggle all this, work full time and be a full time carer which is breaking me. He has just got settled in school and finally (for those who know anything about autism know there is often a high flight risk for little ones) understands where his house is, recognizes his front door and its his safe space which until now has been some tiny bit of relief for me. for him to change routine, change schools, location, house etc then it would have a MASSIVE impact and I'm petrified he will regress even further with a big uproot . I am ashamed and devastated that I have failed even the basics of being able to keep a roof over his head and to have to ask for this support.

I know times are tough for everyone so I feel terrible for even asking. Already using foodbanks (which doesn't actually work with autism as there are only certain foods he can eat therefore I just go without to ensure that I can purchase what he needs) and living without heating which has been horrendous during this minus cold weather, times recently haven't been great and no matter how much we as parents put a brave face on things it all takes it toll and I'm at the end of the line.

If there is any way for you to spare any pennies to try and help us save our house so I can at least have time to make a proper plan to help move to a cheaper area with enough time to protect Ethan and help us transition then I would be grateful beyond words but just sharing this fundraiser far and wide would also help please
sorry and thank you
Emma
