Hi everyone, my name is Sara and I started this GoFundMe to help my mom Desiree. In the beginning of June my mom was hospitalized with a tear in her stomach, low hemoglobin and low potassium and was required to have a blood transfusion. During that time she kept complaining that her legs felt numb, but doctors felt she would improve with time. Over the course of the next two weeks or so it became worse. Her legs/hands felt numb and were painful to the touch. She lost her strength and wasn’t able to walk. She went back to the hospital where they admitted her with low potassium and magnesium levels which they were able to bring back to where the levels needed to be. She was released to a facility where she will remain to do physical therapy to gain back her strength so she can walk and have use of her hands. At this time I’m not sure how long she will be in there. 

I’m in the process of filing for disability on her behalf. Until that time, I don’t want my mom to worry about her monthly and other pending expenses.  And unfortunately, I’m not able to cover all those expenses.
