Bring Denise Home: Repatriation from IRE to UK

Donation protected
On Friday, 4th July, our beautiful Denise Matthews Cooke passed away peacefully after a courageous and inspiring battle with metastatic breast cancer.

After a lovely week in Killarney with her daughter Erin, Denise was admitted to University Hospital Kerry, where she spent a week fighting with incredible strength and spirit, battling a lung and bloodstream infection.

In the end, her body grew too weak to sustain the strength that had always defined her. Denise spent her final days in the Palliative Care Ward at Kerry Hospital, surrounded by her closest family; her three girls, Meghann, Gabriella, and Erin; her grandson Ruari; her sisters Marie and Tricia; and her brother David. She was still sharing jokes and cherished memories until the very end.

We have created this GoFundMe page to help Denise’s three young daughters cover the costs associated with her medical care in Ireland and repatriation of her body from Kerry back home to Bishop’s Stortford.

Denise will be brought home on Tuesday 8th July by ferry from Killarney, accompanied by her daughters. It means so much to her family and friends to bring her back home, so she can be laid to rest with the beautiful funeral she truly deserves.

We would deeply appreciate it if you could share this post. Any support, no matter how small, will mean the world to Denise’s family. ♥️

Any excess donations will go towards giving Denise the perfect funeral that she so deserves, bereavement costs and immediate costs in the aftermath of her passing.
