Hi, my name is Alana and I am fundraising for my sister that has been dealt a difficult journey.

Nicole was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2021. She has since beat that with so much strength and dignity. Chemo wasn’t easy, but she didn’t let you know it. Next came surgery- a double masectomy. This part of her story led her to develop a rapidly growing, medication resistant infection called Mycobacterium abscessus. She has been fighting this infection through IV antibiotics for the past 9 months. She daily has to sit through approximately 2 hours of meds that she administers herself through her port. She has gone through another surgery to try to rid of the bacteria. The doctors are hoping to get her off of IV meds later this month and onto oral medication for another year.

My goal in creating a go fund me is to give her the opportunity to take a nice trip when she starts the oral meds. She has been extremely nauseous during this time and unable to do much as she can not sweat. I am hoping she can take a nice trip where she can leave her worries at home and feel the sunshine on her skin.

Coley has been extremely positive the past 18 months. She won’t give up! I know she’s ready to spreed her wings and fly- please help me help her!
