EIU SAAC x Shriners Children's

We are excited to announce that the Eastern Illinois University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is on a mission to make a difference in the lives of children in need! This year, we are raising funds to support the incredible work being done at Shriners Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

Shriners Children’s Hospital provides life-changing care to children with complex medical conditions, regardless of their families' ability to pay. From orthopedic care to burn treatment and everything in between, their commitment to healing and hope is truly inspiring.

Our Goal: We aim to raise $12,500 to directly benefit the patients at Shriners Children's Hospital. Our goal correlates to the cost of an ACL procedure which is $25,000. This procedure is something that hits home to many of our EIU athletes so being able to cover half of the cost would be a tremendous pay it forward opportunity!

How You Can Help: Your generous contributions will make a significant impact! Here’s how your donations will help:

$25 can provide essential medical supplies for a child in treatment.

$50 can help cover the cost of a therapy session.

$100 can contribute to specialized equipment for patient care.

$500 can help support family accommodations during treatment.

By donating to our campaign, you’re not supporting EIU athletes; you’re giving hope and healing to children and their families facing challenging times.

We will also host a series of events leading up to our fundraising goal, and we invite everyone to join us in raising awareness and funds!
