I met Martha while she was collecting recycled cans in Los Angeles. She was so hungry so I bought her some food and she was so grateful that it felt like I handed her a million dollars. When we sat down and ate, she told me she doesn't have much family to help her anymore and she walks sometimes MILES just to deliver the plastic cans for money. She even offered me the money she received from exchanging the plastic cans for helping her out. When I gave her flowers and some money, she couldn’t believe it and was overwhelmed with thankfulness! She also mentioned she never received flowers in all of her 85 years of living. So I say we give Martha a tip way bigger than that and give her a Christmas she will never forget! ❤️
