Donate to help Carly❤️

I’ve set up this GoFund me page for my cousin Carly, in hope that I can raise awareness and gather some donations that can help towards making her remaining time the best it can be for herself and her children. My dad often raises money for the MND charity with his running, but I would like to make it more personal to my family.
She was unexpectedly diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease just before Christmas in 2022, and is only 33 and has 3 young children aged 11, 4 and 1. Before this diagnosis she was just like you and me, living life like the usual person. Since being diagnosed, it has taken almost all of her abilities. She is now completely unable to move by herself, do basic everyday things, walk and her speech has rapidly deteriorated and will eventually go completely. There is unfortunately no cure for this terrible disease, meaning she will sadly pass away, with the average life expectancy for someone who has been diagnosed with MND being between 2-3 years.
Despite all of this, Carly has remained the strongest person I’ve ever met, smiling through the hard times and has stayed so determined. Her bravery and strength is admirable and will forever be the biggest inspiration to me.
Recently Rob Burrow has passed away from MND, and has raised awareness of the progression of the illness and how it has affected life for himself and his family. My family are also suffering just like this, it has been heartbreaking to see a loved one suffer so much and will continue to be a challenge for the rest of our lives, especially for my little cousins and my auntie (Carly’s mum). At such young ages, they have had to witness their mum deteriorate and will end up losing her, and since she’s a single parent, she is their absolute rock alongside my auntie.
In life, we are always too quick to think these things won’t happen to us, or anyone we know. Despite being away at uni, this has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced, yet I have not had to face the constant harsh reality of what is going on, like the rest of my family have.
To wrap it up, I would really appreciate if anyone could donate to this page, no matter how big or small it will be of big help, and if not thank you for reading this far. Any money that is donated will be given to my auntie to spend on things that will help with Carly and the children, whether that be: activities for them to do or any days out, literally anything that can make their time better.
Thank you for reading, and thanks for any donations they will be much appreciated❤️
