Hello, my name is Leon and I'm very passionate about music, social dance, cultural identity and wellbeing. I have been involved in social dance and health & fitness as a performer, teacher and host of wellbeing events for over 30yrs. The use of Instruments, in particular Drums (not as a musician) have been integral to my personal and professional development over the years.

In 2024 I made the decision to upskill and attend a Rhythm 2 Recovery 'Drumming' workshop. The 2 day event in Hastings was a wonderful insight and journey into how drumming was mentally beneficial in group and 121 scenarios. We explored different drum tones, basic rhythms while maintaining cultural appreciation. This all lead to a more richer and deeper experience with Rhythm 2 Recovery.

Fast forward to now. The funds will be used to purchase at least 12 Djembe drums and tuning healing forks. I hope to be launching my first drum Therapy workshop at TheSpace.Margate before the end of 2025.
