Donate to help Brodey

As many of you may know, I have been an only parent raising 2 kids one with autism for the last 15 years. I have fought and advocated to get my son the services and help that he needs and give him as many opportunities to succeed as I possibly can. In late September/October, my son started regressing. He started losing skills, and even began losing control over his body. By late October we were in diapers, not eating or drinking, having uncontrollable body movements and very intense repetitive movements and behaviors. Brodey hardly opens his eyes and has lost all interest in the things he loves the most…hiking, drumming, going out to eat, playing on his phone or iPad, and so much more. For the last 8 weeks Brodey has been on medical leave from school and has required 24 hour care. He has lost over 10 pounds and is struggling immensely! On Wednesday we spent the day at La Bonheur medical center in the neuroscience institute in Memphis TN, where neurologists began testing and explaining to me their concerns. We have brain imaging coming up, along with genetic testing and Bro had to have 14 tubes of blood drawn. The concern is that Brodey has a neurological genetic disorder that will only make him deteriorate more over time! I am asking for help from my family and friends because I am barely able to work right now! Bills are piling up, I haven’t even begun Christmas shopping and the road ahead seems so very rough! I never ask for help, I’m too prideful for that and usually always find a way but for the first time I am feeling very overwhelmed and unsure of what our future looks like.
