My name is Caroline and I live in London.

I met Bashar from social media where he reached out to me thanking me for my ongoing support towards Palestine.

His story deeply touched me, therefore I decided to create this account on his behalf and will be sending the donations directly to him to ensure he reaches safety and has the basic necessities needed for life. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Bashar is trying to raise money to help his family and evacuate them to a safe area away from the war if they are allowed to, and help them provide a decent life. Due to their geographic location and the limitations of GoFundMe as well as PayPal, I am stepping in to help launch this campaign. All donations will go directly to Bashar and his family, please support if you can, any amount, no matter how small can help bring his family on a journey to safety. They have been suffering under heavy bombardment from the occupation since October 2023. There are few ways to escape these terrifying conditions on their own, which is why any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated during this unimaginable time. Below is the story of my friend Bashar Joudeh and his family:

I'm Bashar Joudeh a 23-year-old graphic designer, a dreamer of Gaza's once vibrant streets that are now in ruins. My world, like my family's world, has been turned upside down by a relentless war that spares no one. My family has witnessed the killing of more than 20 cousins Before their eyes, my father lost his source of income and his job in the clothing business, and I lost my job as a graphic designer. I have a family of 9 people (8 adults and a baby girl).

In this poignant photo I took on my graduation day from the Islamic University of Gaza, I stand proud as a symbol of resilience and achievement. With a degree in Multimedia and Web Development, the joy and sense of accomplishment radiate from this moment. Little did I know that the background of this momentous event would soon be marred by the devastating effects of war. As the conflict developed, dreams were shattered, and the foundation on which my aspirations were built, collapsed. This image not only encapsulates the triumph of educational success, but also serves as a visual narrative of the stark reality that war has the power to dismantle the dreams of individuals striving for a better future.

Important: My father suffers from chondrosis of the neck and is in urgent need of care. Your support can make a huge difference in their fight for health and well-being.

As we face this harsh reality, this fundraiser is more than just a plea for help; It is a call for collective support, and an opportunity to unite hearts in rebuilding what was torn apart by war. I am organizing this campaign to raise funds to rebuild my destroyed home, a place that holds memories, aspirations and dreams of a brighter future.

Why do I fundraise?

I started this fundraising campaign to help my family evacuate to Egypt from Gaza and help them live before traveling until the full amount is collected because my father stopped working due to the war on Gaza after he used to work as a clothing merchant, who is still besieged in Gaza and resides there at the present time. Without it, they won't be able to leave. I was trying to search for solutions that would enable me to get them to safety while all safe areas in Gaza were under continuous bombardment. However, this requires coverage:

• $10,000: Travel cost for each member of my family to pay the costs of the relevant Egyptian authorities to cross the border.

(The coordination fee to help my nine family members leave across the Egyptian border is paid to the relevant Egyptian authorities (not illegal agencies). They ask for this amount to put those who fled in difficult times into a standard file with names and if this name is put, this is usually paid The amount is advanced and the family continues alone to search for an apartment to rent inside Egypt. However, I share with you the fear of handing over the fate of the family to the unknown or paying a sum of money. An illegal individual may promise people a horrific journey. I want to assure that this will not happen and that the Egyptian authorities dealing with This issue is legal and it is officers working on the other side to facilitate this leave.)

• $500: The cost of renting an apartment in Egypt per month for an 8-month stay.

• $2,000: An allotment for food and necessities that will cost $100 per week over 8 months.

Since my family cannot afford this amount of money, I cannot watch my family being slaughtered but I am trying to help my family with your appreciated donations to save their lives and get them out.

I did not want to write this story at this time, but I feel compelled to write it as I feel responsible for my family's life and helping them escape to a safe place. With your help (even by donating $10, $20, $25,...):
