Donate to help a family recover from a house fire

Like other people living everyday lives, we were going about daily routines and following practices that we trusted to help us move forward. We knew to plan for the possibility of setbacks, but we have experienced a crisis far beyond anything for which we were prepared or expected.
On the morning of April 5, 2023, my family experienced a tragically destructive house fire.
I had started my daily routine when we noticed the lights were out upstairs on the second floor. While I was doing some cleaning in the kitchen on the first floor, I noticed a smell and smoke coming down the stairs. My sons were playing in their room and my husband was upstairs sleeping. I ran upstairs to get them, my daughters, and my infant daughter. We all evacuated the house immediately! As we left the house, I turned around and saw the roof on the left side of the house in flames. We called 911 and waited on the phone with dispatchers until Firefighters arrived. We learned that there was an electric fire in the attic. My heart fell apart as I watched what we had been able to acquire for our lives burn. At the same time, I tried to comfort my crying children who were also witnessing this nightmare unfold right before their eyes. Once responders got the fire to cease, we were left at the scene in our pajamas with no shoes and no place to live.
We have contacted our family and were provided a temporary place to sleep, but with very little space for us, we must find another place quickly. We need a safe place to call home again. We can't replace the memories and heirlooms we lost, but we are hoping we can have a home again soon. We will appreciate any help possible. My children deserve a roof over their heads, and I desperately want them to have peace after living through something so traumatic.
