Hi my name is Nabila and I am fundraising to help pay for my family's immigration fees and costs.

It is with great difficulty that I am reaching out to you today, with a request to help my family face an uncertain future in the UK. Our dream of staying in the country that we have called home for the past 15 consecutive years is at risk due to exorbitant immigration fees and costs.

After a long battle with the Home Office, I have officially run out of options, and this is where your generosity and compassion can make a world of difference. By donating, you will directly help us cover the cost of immigration fees. Your contribution, no matter the size will have a profound impact on our lives and give us hope to continue on our path to citizenship.

Who We Are

I arrived in this country at the age of 7 and graduated from UCL, and now work for a charity supporting military families. I have been working multiple jobs since the age of 15, alongside managing full-time academics, extensive extracurriculars, and being the eldest daughter in the house. As a result of that enormous pressure, constant anxiety about being made destitute by Home Office fees and the fear of leaving everything I have ever known, I developed severe mental health problems, and attempted suicide.

I have done everything I was told a "Good Immigrant" should do. I secured a scholarship to a private school, I contributed to my community through my work for charities, I took an interest in British politics and interned at my MP's office, and secured a world class education at a leading university. However after all of that, I am still no closer to being able to finally settle down and have some stability in my life.

My mother has worked the last 10 years as a carer in our local community care home. She has worked despite suffering from a brain tumour (prolactinoma) and it's resulting health complications in order to provide for our family and manage the Home Office costs. Despite being dedicated to her role for 10 years of her life, she lost her job due to not being able to afford to update her visa.

My younger sister arrived in this country when she was 3 years old and aspires to go to King's College London to study medicine . She has been unable to attend university for 2 years due to complications with the Home Office. She deserves the same opportunities as me to achieve success and move on with her future.
