I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my friend, Daniel. I first met him while working on a job site in Morro Bay. He walked by and asked if there was any work available. Unfortunately, due to insurance reasons, I couldn’t have him help on site. He understood and said he’d come back to check again. A few days later, he returned to ask once more, and though the answer was still no, we ended up talking about golf and God.

Weeks later, while finishing a late round at Morro Bay Golf Course with my friend Clay, we ran into Daniel again in the parking lot. From that day on, he’s become a good friend—and one of our golf partners. Through our friendship, I’ve learned more about him and the struggles he faces, and I know he truly needs and deserves some help.

Daniel is a kind, loving, and hardworking father who has fallen on very hard times. He is currently homeless and struggling to get back on his feet. Despite everything, he has never lost hope or faith. He’s eager to work, willing to help anyone, and has many skills—especially painting and working with his hands.

Unfortunately, without reliable transportation or a place to live, finding steady work has been nearly impossible. On top of that, his teeth are in bad shape, which causes people to judge him unfairly and makes it even harder for him to be hired.

Daniel does not struggle with drug abuse. He simply needs a chance. A vehicle would change everything—it would allow him to work, support himself, and rebuild his life with dignity.
