We met a 14-year-old girl and her siblings in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam who risk their lives every night by performing dangerous fire-breathing on the streets — barefoot, coughing blood, and constantly at risk of arrest. Her cousin has already been arrested for doing this work.

Why are they forced into this?

When she and her brother were born, their parents took out loans to cover hospital bills. The loans came with extremely high interest, making it nearly impossible to ever repay. Their father has since passed away, and their mother is mentally ill and unable to work. Now, the children carry the burden of this debt — while also enduring poverty, lack of schooling, and past abuse.

And yet, in spite of all this, they still radiate joy. They love playing together, and even when they have so little, they kept offering us food when we met them.

We just see so much purity in their hearts and so much potential so we created this GoFundMe to give them a chance at freedom:

$1,250 to pay off their debt completely (33 million VND)

$150 to buy a phone so they can seek safer, better job opportunities

Just $1,400 total can change their lives forever.

Once we pay off their debt, she promised to stop doing this type of work and will find safer legal work to do.
