Donate to Foster Kids in Mercy Burrell's Name

Hello, Im Deja , and i'm organizing a go fund me for my sweet friends River and Tessa Burrell . They are choosing to Honor their unborn child, Mercy Seraphina Burrell, in such a beautiful way! Please consider donating and sharing this information so a big impact can be made in sweet Mercy’s honor! Please read the information and statement from Tessa Burrell.

Hi my name is Tessa Burrell and my husband is River Burrell from Sallis, MS. We have been married for a little over a year and are expecting our first child in December. Sadly at our second appointment the doctors noticed some abnormalities with the development of our baby. After many doctor’s appointments and scans they have given us a diagnosis of amniotic banding sequencing. This “condition” is rare and happens very early in development. In our pregnancy it’s a very severe case causing multiple abnormalities that include our child’s abdomen, spine, and brain. Because of the diagnosis we are expected to loose our baby girl during or very soon after delivery. Besides finding out the diagnosis for our sweet Mercy, the thing that has hit me the hardest is not getting to decorate her room, make a registry, and have a baby shower. A lot of the normal things you would look forward to in pregnancy and preparing for a child we just won’t get to experience this time around. So in honor of Mercy Seraphina Burrell, I would like to throw a baby shower for foster children. A lot of these sweet kids get placed with amazing foster families, but come with very little or nothing at all. This may leave the foster families scrambling to get the necessities these kids need when arriving.

This event will take place at The Guitar Academy in Kosciusko, MS September 15th from 2-5 pm ! I have reached out to foster families for the best recommendations for what is needed and everything will be donated to county’s in need. I have a host of friends who will be helping me take all the donations to pack these bags! The bags will go with the kids to their foster homes and they get to take them if they are ever moved to another home.

I have attached a list of the things we are asking be donated if you would like to help and donate for the kids! If you are unsure of what to get, we will have a cash donation jar that will be used to buy any supplies to finish bags!

Again, the outpouring love we have felt throughout this pregnancy has been amazing. We are truly grateful for our churches, families, friends, and communities! Anyone and Everyone is more than welcome to attend, but in the case you are not able to consider donating to the Gofundme! Any and All proceeds will go to helping finish packing supplies and bags that these foster children need!
