Hello! My name is Christopher Mejia and together with my family, we are on a mission close to our hearts: to provide groceries to 100 families in need in Jaiquí Picado, Dominican Republic by December 2025. Jaiquí Picado is considered a rural zone where there are a lot of families in need. Where basic needs such as water or power are scarce.

Each family will receive a bag filled with essential food items — rice, beans, lentils, a can of sardines, 2 cans of tuna, 2 cans of tomato paste, 2 packets of hot chocolate, 8 packets of sazón seasoning, salt, spaghetti, pasta sauce, oil, brown sugar, one can of evaporated milk, 2 packets of ramen noodles, and a corn muffin mix. Each bag costs about $26 to put together, but the impact is priceless.

We are inspired by the words of Matthew 6:19-21:

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
