Eva's Care and Recovery

My mother, has Parkinson's disease, respiratory failure, a tracheostomy, and a feeding tube. I have been her only caregiver for the last ten years, and the most recent three years she has lived in my apartment where I care for her 24/7. Eva, was sent to the hospital for pneumonia a few months ago. She lost over 20lbs and she didn't feel comfortable coming home that weak. The hospital staff gave us a few options in terms of rehabilitation / care centers she could stay to regain her strength. They assured us that her insurance would fully cover her stay at the places they recommended. So we agreed, and we transferred her to one of these places. About three weeks in to her stay at the care facility, we received a letter of denial of service from her insurance, stating she 'no longer needed' to receive any rehabilitation or therapy. The photo I uploaded was taken a few days before they called us to tell us they were going to be charging her monthly to stay there, and I think its pretty evident that she needs to be there and get her strength back through physical therapy. The cost of her staying to be rehabilitated isn't the only thing she needs help with. I'm currently in between jobs, as the state was paying me to care for her. I'm having to take responsibility for all of hers bills while she's gone, life insurance, storage unit with all of her belongings, and her portion of rent that she would contribute and now the cost of the care facility. I don't want them to force my mom to come home before she's physically ready to. I'm not asking anyone for help on my behalf, it's all for my mother. To cover the cost of her bills while she's in the care facility. I personally don't think she should have to pay anything, and I believe she fully meets the criteria required by the insurance to have it fully paid for, but besides appealing it, it's out of my control. Once I begin this new job I'll be putting in as much as I can towards her bills as well.

Her insurance has agreed to start paying for her stay again, for roughly a year. But she still has many outside bills that she could use help with. She appreciates all of your support and kind words.
