Dear Friends and Supporters,
Urgent: Help Us Stop AB 379—A Law That Greases the Deportation Pipeline!
The fight to protect vulnerable Californians has reached a critical point.
The California state legislature recently passed AB 379, a dangerous law that will empower the Trump administration to deport migrants, criminalize marginalized communities, and contribute to the destruction of innocent lives. Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to sign it into law.
If enacted, this bill will allow federal agents to target human beings, including migrants, youth survivors, and sex workers, and potentially disappear them into brutal detention centers in places like El Salvador or Libya—where they may face torture, inhumane treatment, or worse. This is not just an injustice—it’s a violation of human rights.
We cannot stand by and let this happen.
Amnesty International has called the conditions in Libyan detention centers a “hellscape” and “life-threatening.” Yet, this is the very fate AB 379 could condemn innocent people to. And it's not just about the border—it’s happening right here in California.
AB 379 is a new version of a previously repealed anti-loitering law that allowed cops to unfairly targets Black and Brown Californians, trans women, and immigrants. Countless individuals have been harassed, arrested, and charged based on nothing more than suspicion. Under AB 379, everyday interactions—like trying to help a motorist or simply being in a certain neighborhood—could lead to arrest, prosecution, and even deportation.
We cannot allow this law to destroy lives.
Here’s how you can help.
We are taking immediate legal action to challenge AB 379 in court. But to do so, we need your support.
• Donate today to fund our legal battle to stop AB 379 and protect vulnerable communities.
• Help us raise the resources necessary to hire attorneys, gather evidence, and file for an injunction to prevent this law from taking effect.
• Join our fight for justice and accountability.
Your contribution will directly support the legal challenge against this harmful legislation. Together, we can stop the mass deportation machine and ensure that California doesn’t facilitate the trafficking and abuse of migrants and sex workers.
This is urgent.
The Trump administration is waging a war on migrants, and AB 379 will make it easier to sweep innocent people into that war. We cannot afford to wait—we must act now to protect our neighbors and hold lawmakers accountable.
Please, donate today and stand with us in the fight for justice. Every dollar helps us get one step closer to stopping AB 379.
Thank you for your support.
In solidarity,

P.S. California must not become a place where vulnerable people are swept up by the system and left to face devastating consequences. Your donation will help make sure that doesn’t happen. Act now and make a difference!
Our advocacy group (ESPLERP) is challenging outdated California laws from previous centuries that infringe on everyone's right to live their private lives and determine the nature of their consensual personal interactions, free from government interference. Specifically section 647(b), Public Disturbance / Solicitation, which was established in 1872 together with a slew of other discriminatory laws and moral codes.
These sections of the law give police an excuse to raid private properties, arrest people and create a criminal issue under the disguise of public safety.
We want to change that !
California’s constitution guarantees a Right to Privacy and we want to mount a legal challenge on this basis to invalidate these specific laws. Our goal is to raise $200,000 to start the legal action in state court.
Please consider a generous tax deductible donation to expand privacy for all.
Any amount, no matter how large or small will help.
