UPDATE: Erin is from the Clifton springs area. She works for the VA and always goes above and beyond for our vets. Because she has no sick leave or annual leave she has absolutely no paycheck coming in. Being a federal employee we do not get short term disability. She is on the donate time list but that takes time. Her medical bills are adding up and her day to day bills on top of being a mom. She had a piece of her skull removed along with the first vertebra to let the swelling reduce. Staples will come out in a few weeks. She is finally home with intense outpatient rehabilitation. She can’t use her right hand which is her dominant one and her speach was affected. She’s been working hard on her balance and coordination. She’s one tough cookie and the doctors are saying she’s lucky to be here! Please help share or donate as much or as little as you can! Thank you!!

Hey all!!

My name is Natalee. I currently work at the VA in Canandaguia. My coworker now friend Erin is 25. She is a single mom of a spunky beautiful 6 year old girl. Erin suffered a series of very unfortunate events that has lead her to be out of work. She suffers from LADA. Her insurance will not approve an insulin pump. She went into diabetic ketoacidosis which hospitalized her. When she was released she then suffered from a blood clot in her arm. In her sleep they think it dislodged and traveled to her brain which caused her to have a stroke. She will need lots of PT/OT to get her strength back. She will be out of work for a while and has used up all her sick leave and annual leave from all the hospital stays. I would love to try to raise money to help her with any costs associated with all this at such a young age. She’s a fighter, strong lady!
