Hello, I’m Erica and I am hoping you will help me raise money to help buy my aunt Evila a newer van that she can then have converted into a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for her to use. She was born with spina bifida and used to be able to get around with a manual chair but really needs to use her electric wheelchair full-time. She works for a non-profit and wants to continue working, but it is getting extremely difficult for her, especially if it is snowy or icy. She cannot afford the car payment on a new vehicle. She has approval already to get a vehicle converted once she buys a new one. She has been driving the same car for around 20 years now and is in desperate need of a new one. My aunt has tried to be independent her entire life and usually will not ask or accept help from others. She was the first in our family to graduate from college. She helps her brother out, who is also disabled. She is finally willing to let some others help her out! She actively seeks out resources for herself, but there just aren’t any who will buy a new van, unfortunately. I’m hoping we can raise enough to help her continue to be independent, and I know she will keep this vehicle for many years!
