My name is Eddie Martinez. In my recent move to Detroit, Michigan, I have noticed that it is hard to grow up as a child in this city with no community centers, lots of run-down or burnt buildings, and families barely making ends meet, forcing many children to get involved with dangerous activities that involve jail time. With the recent purchase of a lot with a basketball court, God unfolded a vision to me to create a sports center for the children and give them a reason to stay off the streets while building their spiritual, emotional, mental, social, and physical health. Unfortunately, the financial burden of making a sports center for the community has been a struggle for me. If you find it in your hearts to help, please do so for the sake of the children’s lives.
