On November 24, 2024, we unexpectedly lost my uncle, Michael James Keating, Jr. At the age of 52, he leaves behind his wife and 4 young daughters.

My uncle was a very big-hearted man. He loved to make people laugh and make people feel at home. His hospitable nature was apparent in the way he cared for customers at our family restaurant, Chuyita's in Moreno Valley. The loss of my grandmother (Mama Chuy) and the COVID-19 mandates in 2020 forced the closure of our beloved restaurant. After over 20 years of service, the restaurant doors were closed.

My uncle struggled to support his family, and his untimely death is not only heart-breaking but leaves uncertainty of finances for the provision of his family. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help support my young cousins, so they can grieve without the additional burden of finances. All funds will go to help my cousins pay for college and living expenses.
