Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raajioon

Allah has promised multiple times in the Qur'an, "Every soul will taste death."

On Monday, June 16th, 2025, it was the turn for the husband of our dear friend and sister, Perveen Akhtar, among many others in this world. He returned to his Creator after battling an aggressive form of cancer, following a few years of painful treatment with his family beside him.

Our dear friend is left with an 18-year-old son, who had just graduated from high school a week before, and three young daughters, aged 11, 6, and 5. May Allah have mercy on him and forgive him. Aameen.

She is a very strong and independent individual who stood through this test with immense patience. She has been a pillar of strength for the family, her colleagues, and her friends when we needed support in our difficult moments. May Allah reward her for that. Aameen.

Now, in the face of this enormous test, we are obligated to support her and her kids. We request our community members to fulfill this obligation to support a sister in need. We hope to collect as much as we can so that her son can complete his education and cover other immediate expenses, in sha Allah.
