I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend, Lisa Rice. She means the world to me, and right now she’s facing a rough challenge in her life. Lisa has been diagnosed with osteomyelitis in her foot, which is a very serious bone infection. It causes extreme pain, swelling, and damage to the bone, and if it isn’t treated quickly, the infection can spread and lead to life changing complications. Because of this, Lisa needs surgery ASAP and will be out of work for the next couple of months while she recovers.

She works so hard every day to provide for her family, and she never complains, no matter how heavy the load gets. Asking for help is not in her nature at all, and she’s always been the strong one who holds everything together. But this time, she can’t do it all alone.

If you know Lisa, you know how big her heart is. She’s the type of person who opens her door to anyone in need and gives the shirt off her back without thinking twice about it. She’s always the first to show up when someone else is hurting, and now she deserves to have people show up for her.

The truth is, being out of work even for a short time is so overwhelming. Between the surgery, medications, bills, and the everyday expenses of raising her children, the weight on her shoulders is almost unbearable. She should be focusing on healing, not worrying about how to keep the lights on or food on the table.
