My name is Lea, and I am a first-time mother. My beautiful daughter’s name is Naomi. My fiancé and I are working as much as we can for our situation, but I’m still struggling to catch up after being out of work during and after my pregnancy. I’m trimming the fat on our bills, but nothing seems to be enough to be where we need to be.

I really hate having to ask for help, but sometimes you just have to suck it up and do what you have to do, right? I’m exploring this option of accepting donations. It makes me very uncomfortable, but I have to try. We don’t have a village like many people do, and it’s heartbreaking to think about how my baby girl is growing up without a grandmother from either side. But I’m very grateful for the family we do have and all that they’re doing to help us so we can work more to bring in what we can.

I feel like I could have said it better, but I am nervous just typing this out, and again, this is very uncomfortable, but I’m not sure what else to do at the moment. Daycare is an option, but that seems redundant to have to add such an expense when I can barely stay afloat currently.
