Hi I am trying to help relieve some of the tremendous stress and worry my future sister in law is experiencing. She is a beautiful self sacrificing soul who works as a special education student aide and classroom assistant. Due to mainly taking care of and supporting my brother Paul through his cancer related medical traumas, but also various other things like pet emergencies, unpaid snow days, inability to pick up summer employment due to Paul’s extensive needs, her income over the past year has been significantly negatively impacted and we all know classroom aides are not rolling in the money to begin with. She is through most all of her savings, the need for time off continues to occur, expenses like fuel etc are increasing, and bills are piling up. Please if you can do nothing else keep her in prayer… she navigates in one week what many others do not experience over a whole year. She is strong but she is worn! If we could remove a worry of making ends meet at least we would be mitigating one stressor. I know all of us are experiencing financial challenges to some degree but if each of us could pitch in even a little bit we could help Karla stay afloat!

Karla’s dog Koda last week enjoying the snow! He ate something he should not have, was scheduled for surgery but did not make it through the night this week. She navigated this while supporting Paul through pain, emergency cat scan on Monday and yesterday an ER overnight stint while awaiting a bed as Paul is now having blood clot and breathing difficulties! Being the superhero grandma she is, Karla still made a quick round trip to pa to support her granddaughter grandparent day at school, because she had promised, not knowing the week would look like it did!!! That is love!!
