Organized by Amy Ochoa:

With complete faith in God and humanity, I am coming to the world to ask for a helping hand to help my sister.

Almost 5 months ago , my nephew Saiveon was murdered, and that has left us reeling emotionally and financially as he was the provider for his mother and siblings. While visiting town, he was violently taken, at 24. He had just started to make the type of money it took to support his mother who has terminal cancer, his little sisters, his baby and his two brothers, as well.

Most assume that because he was a well-known influencer and model that he was wealthy, however that is not the case. Yes, he was building and had secured some great opportunities to continue to make a larger income however, he was still at a point where he needed to be actively working and investing to maintain the high level of responsibility he was shouldering. The money he did have was taken by the courts to pay outstanding debts, so anything he did have the family did not have access to. My sister is going to be destitute sooner than later with the overwhelming expenses of life due to the fact that she is unable to work anymore as she spends 7 hours a day 6 days a week in the hospital getting life saving infusions due to being terminally ill.

My nephew was working towards financially securing a place to lay his mother to rest, but as life would have it, it was his terminally ill mother who had to lay him to rest. Without her son, she's left to navigate her continued medical costs, living expenses and heartbreakingly, her own funeral expenses, when that time comes. In addition, she is trying to help her younger son with his recovery from a recent life-threatening injury that had him in ICU, rendering him unable to work to provide for his own child.

My nephew was the one whom would be caring for the family after she is gone, and now we are back at square one trying to figure out any kind of plan for the future. I wish I could just write a check and take the pressure off of Jeni, but I am humbly asking all of you to please help my sister to be comfortable with the time she has left as this was the reason Saiveon worked so tirelessly. Making sure that his mom would not have the added burden of financial stress during this last stretch of her life. I know she worries constantly about not leaving the younger kids with the hardship of burial costs while grieving the loss of their brother and mother, as well, if possible to have something to leave behind for her girls when she goes to heaven to be with her son.

For those of you who knew my nephew, you knew the endless love and respect he had for his mother and family. If you didn't know him just search him up and you will quickly learn about what they meant to each other. Saiveon was a phenomenal young man who carried a heavy load at a young age. Losing him is an absolute loss for the world and a debilitating loss for his loved ones. In honor of him and all he stood for please let's not let what he worked so hard for be lost. He left behind a beautiful one-year-old daughter whom he loved dearly, his terminally ill mother, two underaged sisters and two brothers. In loving memory of Saiveon Hopkins 06/21/2000 - 09/08/2024
