Hi, my name is Devon Garrett, and I’m a proud mom to my little boy, Maslow Jax. I recently went through a major surgery that changed my life — doctors discovered a large tumor in my abdomen that required removing my uterus, and now I’m preparing to begin chemotherapy. It’s been one of the hardest seasons of my life physically, emotionally, and financially.
Even with my faith and determination, this journey has taken a huge toll. I was so proud to have started a career position at the courthouse earlier this year, but due to my surgery and upcoming chemo, I can’t return to work for at least 12 weeks. Unfortunately, I wasn’t yet eligible for medical leave or a cancer policy, so I’ve hit a dead end financially. I’ve tried every angle for assistance, but right now, I simply need help to stay afloat until I can get back on my feet and back to work.
I’m asking for help to cover medical bills, travel to appointments, and to make sure I can keep things stable for Maslow while I focus on healing. Every single donation — no matter how small — means more than words can express. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.
Through it all, I’m holding onto hope and trusting that God still has a plan for me and my family. I’m doing my best to stay strong for Maslow — he’s my whole world and my reason to fight through every day of this battle.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who’s prayed for me, checked on me, or offered a hand when I’ve needed it most. Your love and support remind me that I’m not walking this road alone.
With love and gratitude,
Devon
