Our beloved coach and friend has recently suffered from a bad fall and is in the hospital receiving treatment for his injuries. He will be okay, but the road to recovery will be long. Let's try to ease some of the worries by supporting Cory, his wife April, and their six children during this time of difficulty. Please consider giving to help this amazing man who has touched so many of our children's lives. Funds will go toward medical care costs and loss of income due to extended time away from work to rehabilitate.
UPDATE From wife April
On 10/17, Cory was pushed off a ladder by a branch he was cutting. He suffered 8 broken ribs, a brain bleed, punctured lung, fractured vertebrae, and some other bumps/bruises. The entire family was present when the accident occurred.
He has been moved from ICU to the trauma floor. He has some concussion symptoms and obviously pain but we are hopeful for a full recovery. His brain bleed is stable and lungs are doing better.
I cannot explain the gratitude I have for the incredible outpouring of love, generosity, and support. The community has surrounded our family in a way I’ll never forget.
Cory was happy to find out that he fell on his right side so his throwing arm is still in tact.
He can’t really use his phone right now but I can read him any texts. Thank you all so much again. All of the love has truly comforted the kids while they recover from what they saw.
