Donate to Cindy's Family in Their Time of Need

Hi everyone,
I’ve set up this page to share updates and offer a way for friends and family to support me and my extended family during this incredibly difficult time. We’re hoping to find some relief through your prayers and, if you’re able, financial help. Donations will be used with integrity and deep gratitude to support my sister, mom, and dad, while also helping to offset my travel costs.
As many of you know, my family is facing an overwhelming season of life, from homelessness to battling cancer to the unexpected loss of my nephew. It feels like we’re living a chapter straight out of Job. While we never would have chosen this as the example of what we're experiencing, it reflects the depth of our struggles. When people ask, “How are you?” or “How can I be praying?” it’s often hard to find words. Here's what I do know... I am crushed. I am wrecked as I think of my loved ones having to endure so much pain. I am broken inside. Thankful God goes before me.
Prayer 1 – Please pray for my sister, Kristy, my nieces Arin and Ally, and Jesse’s dad, Eric, as they grieve the devastating loss of Jesse (my nephew) who passed away last week. The grief has been overwhelming, and it often feels surreal. I’m doing my best to support my sister from Vero, but I’m so thankful I’ll be with her soon. I find myself running out of words to describe what this feels like for me, but more so for my family.
Prayer 2 – Kristy is also helping to care for our mom, who has been battling ovarian cancer. Mom is also fighting paraneoplastic cerebellar syndrome, a rare condition caused by cancer that affects her motor functions. She’s bedridden most of the day, unable to walk, talk, eat, or write without assistance. It’s heartbreaking to witness. I’m doing what I can by helping with meals, groceries, and being there in person to provide emotional support (trip #3 to Michigan soon).
Prayer 3 – My dad, after losing everything in the Helene storm, was rescued from a bathhouse shelter after 12 hours. After his rescue, two of the four walls were destroyed by the flood. Though deeply shaken, he’s staying busy serving others. We’re doing everything we can to help him rebuild and move out of homelessness, with a faith-filled goal of getting him into a van as an immediate next step. Thankful to the amazing family who took him in for the time being and bought him a phone to stay connected.
Your prayers, love, and support mean the world to us as we navigate so much. While I may seem to handle it well outwardly, the true weight comes from seeing the pain my loved ones are having to carry. Thank you for your care and compassion during this time. I’ll keep everyone updated as we move forward.
Much love,
Cindy xx
