Hello, my name is La'Nee' Simmons. I am the daughter-in-law of Christal Harris. I am creating a GoFundMe on her behalf because she needs help from her peers, family, friends, co-workers, & anyone who is touched by her story. Right now, Christal has exhausted all of her PTO at work and is in jeopardy of losing her home for failure to keep up with rent due to her missing work to take care of her very ill mother.

Grandmom Robbin fell ill about a year ago with kidney issues. Christal, her daughter, being the angel that she is, packed up and moved from Texas to NC to take care of her mother. She found a great job working as a CMA in the otolaryngology department at a very prestigious hospital in NC. She also found an apartment that she now calls home. Currently, Grandmom Robbin's health has declined and while trying to use the bathroom, she passed out and caused major injury to the brain. Last Tuesday, she underwent major brain surgery to stop the bleeding. She has yet gone through another surgery just two days after the first brain surgery due to another vessel bursting, and at this time, the family is praying for her healing in hopes she wakes up with 100% of her strength. We know God has her covered, and with His grace and healing hands, she WILL recover.

This unfortunate event has required Christal to take off work more, not just to be there for and care for her mother but for her own mental and physical health. Christal suffers from MS, and although she is battling her own illness, she still manages to push through and take care of her mom. She takes her to all her doctor's appointments and treatments, and goes to her house after working 10 hours and being on her feet the majority of the time to bathe and feed her and just spend time with her. She's exhausted her bank account on medicine for her and her mother and buying new clothes for her mother as her weight declines.

Anyone who knows Christal would describe her as the most positive and optimistic person on the planet. She's always encouraging and speaking life into anyone who is blessed with her presence. She brings hope and restores faith within every soul who's fortunate enough to cross paths with her. She is a walking angel waking up every day with her positive and motivational posts on social media, making sure all her followers start their day with positivity and feeling ready to tackle whatever the day brings. She does this all while going through her own storm. It breaks my heart to watch such a wonderful woman carry this heavy load all alone. She'll never ask for help, but some loads just weren't meant to be carried alone.

The funds raised will help Christal to get a bigger 1st floor apartment because she currently lives on the 3rd floor. She plans to move her mother in and it would be easier to transport and take care of her if she moved to the 1st floor.
