It is with a heavy heart that I share the tragic news of the passing of my dear cousin and family member, Ibrahim, who lost his life in a motorcycle accident. Ibrahim was a beloved member of our family, known for his kindness, generosity, and warmth. His sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in our lives, but as we reflect on his legacy, we are reminded of the importance of continuing good deeds in his honor.

In Islamic tradition, there is a powerful Hadith that says, ”Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."( Muslim Book 12 Hadith 8) We believe that through acts of ongoing charity, we can keep Ibrahim’s memory alive and ensure that he continues to reap rewards, even in the hereafter. One of the most profound ways to establish a continuing charity is by providing access to clean, safe water for those in need. Water is the essence of life, and in many parts of the world, communities still suffer due to the lack of this basic necessity. By building water wells in Ibrahim’s name, we hope to offer the gift of clean water to these communities, ensuring that his legacy lives on through every drop.
