Hi, I'm Brittany though some of you might know me as Bee.
Presently, I have ongoing medical issues and concerns.
Some of you may have heard of my story because you're close to me or saw my previous gofundme .
In Feb 2026, a cyst in my pancreas was discovered. I was diagnosed with MCN and the cyst was removed in a distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy. My pancreas tail was removed and my spleen was too. Surgery happened 7/8/2026. I was initially told that it would take 6-8 weeks to recover and I needed that entire time. I struggled even during recovery with all the symptoms I experienced.
For a short while, I felt better. My health improved, I was able to return to work and have some semblance of stability. However that all changed on Oct 20th. I'd been sick for a few days before that, but managing my symptoms at home as I'd become accustomed to. I thought nothing of it. When you are sick as much as I am, you get used to it. Oct 20th, I went to the ER and was admitted shortly after evaluation. I had to be brought to Macon - The Medical Center - for further evaluation and admittance.
My WBC (white blood cell count) reached 20k (for reference, a healthy level is under 10k). This was severely concerning and I was started on IV Antibiotics immediately. There were concerns relating to infection and complications following my surgery. I would be hospitalized from October 20th to October 26th. I would not be able to return to work until October 30th, even after release from the hospital - I was stable but still unwell. As expressed by the hospital, my concerns were all to be handled outpatient unless something urgent changed things again.
As for what is now ongoing with me - A new pancreatic mass is now in the surgical site. The mass is 7.5 x 5.1 x 5.4 cm as of 10/22/2026. I've been told it's likely Walled Off Necrosis or fat necrosis. Initially, it was suggested that I would have surgery again. For now, surgery is the last option. The mass is not causing me pain but it's uncertain on if my body will get rid of this mass on it's own. It also does not explain my current ongoing symptoms.
While having imaging done for this mass, a tumor was also found outside of my right kidney. The official diagnosis given for it is "renal cell carcinoma possibly papillary subtype". I have an unfortunate medical history with my family and kidney cancer is something that has been seen before. My dad had a similar cancer that spread out of control in a short period of time. My immediate concerns have been with this - my pancreas mass and the tumor outside my kidney. I have other, more minor, issues all actively ongoing at the same time.
Being as sick as I have been this year, it's meant that more than anything else I've lost out on income. It's made everything exponentially harder juggling work, home, and my health. I don't know where I would be without those that have helped me along this far. My gratitude to my friends, family, coworkers and even strangers is endless.
Anything contributed to me will go towards upcoming medical expenses and necessities.
Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.
