Bring the Cosplay O.R. to Life

Hi everyone! My name is Renate, and along with my fiancé, Tom, I'm thrilled to be bringing a brand-new service to CONvergence this year: the Cosplay O.R.! (That's Cosplay Operating Room!)

As you know, the energy and excitement of CONvergence can sometimes take a toll on even the most well-crafted costumes. Whether it's a snapped prop, a torn seam, a rogue wire, or a last-minute malfunction, cosplay mishaps happen! That's where the Cosplay O.R. comes in.

Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, the Cosplay O.R. will be a dedicated space equipped with a range of high-tech tools and essential supplies to help bring your cosplay back from the brink. Think of us as your pit crew for all things costume repair!

We'll be offering assistance with:

*Hot glue and superglue fixes

*Basic sewing repairs

*Minor painting touch-ups

*Hardware adjustments

*Electronics troubleshooting (soldering iron available!)

*And much more!

While there is a quick repair station at the Quantum Sandbox, our goal is to provide a more comprehensive, technical, and less crowded space for those more serious cosplay emergencies.

Why We Need Your Support:

To make the Cosplay O.R. a reality and equip it with the necessary tools, materials, and create a welcoming and functional space, we're reaching out to the amazing CONvergence community for support. The funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly towards:

*Purchasing essential repair tools (soldering iron, drill, specialized glues, etc.)

*Stocking up on a wide variety of repair materials (fabric scraps, thread, hardware, paints, wires, etc.)

*Setting up functional and organized repair stations.

*Creating a comfortable and accessible environment.
