Hi, my name is Megean. I am a close friend of Braxton and his dad, Derek. Braxton has been my son's best friend since they were in kindergarten. This tragedy has brought me here to try to ease the pain the best I can. As a mother, I can't imagine the thought of my own son losing me at such a young age. It has been killing me inside. Derek and Braxton have been a huge part of our life and summers since the boys became close friends/brothers. I am trying to be there for all of them the best I can. This community has been absolutely amazing with all of the thoughts, prayers, and offers to help and donate. These children deserve it.

On Wednesday, November 13th, Danielle Hayes, a mother of two beautiful young children, lost her life in a car accident just minutes after dropping her son off at school. This tragic accident unexpectedly leaves her daughter Sophia (11) and son Braxton (7) without their mother at a very young age. This nightmare leaves both of her children to navigate life without her. To lose your mother at such a young age is absolutely heartbreaking. Both of her children will be living a new life with their own fathers. Danielle unfortunately did not have life insurance or anything set up in the chance she would leave this world as early as she did. I am starting this GoFundMe for her children.
