Family and friends...

Mason and I are joining a team of 17 members at Adaville Baptist to return to Kenai, Alaska this August 1-9. We are partnering with a mission organization called Arctic Barnabas that exists to support pastors and missionaries all over the 49th state of Alaska. They are the encouragement system to well over 30 families serving in some of the toughest and most remote areas of Alaska.

We are going to encourage the encouragers and support the supporters. We will provide lots of manual labor for the Arctic Barnabas team as we help them winterize their homes and ministry headquarters since they are always so busy helping others. We will interact with their kids and provide a date night for well-deserving moms and dads. We will listen to mission stories and eat good food. But we will, above all else, be the hands and feet of Jesus to this ministry who serves so many, so well.

Everything is a little more expensive in AK and with airfare, van rentals, and food, each member needs to raise $1,450 per person. Would you consider serving with us in one or more ways? 1. Pray. This is the most important thing. Pray for good travel, rest for the weary, and that God moves in and through each of us. 2. Give.

This year they have allowed for high school-aged kids to come with their parents, so for some families, this creates a larger financial responsibility. Every penny we are able to raise for ourselves is less we have to come up with or ask the church for.
