Hi, I’m a 10-year-old Boy Scout with Scouts Canada from Vancouver, British Columbia, and I need your help to make a big difference in the world! My name is Zayd Jinnah, and I’m currently working towards earning my Seeonee Award, a special achievement in Scouts Canada that challenges me to take on a meaningful project to help others. For my project, I’ve chosen to raise funds for the Aga Khan Foundation, a charity that does incredible work to eliminate poverty and improve education in third-world countries.

I’ve been working hard to raise money on my own by collecting bottles and organizing other fundraising initiatives, but I can’t do this alone. That’s why I’m reaching out to you—my community, friends, and kind-hearted people everywhere—to help me reach my goal. Every dollar I raise will go directly to the Aga Khan Foundation, which supports life-changing programs like building schools, providing educational resources, and creating opportunities for families to lift themselves out of poverty.

The Aga Khan Foundation’s mission really inspires me because I believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream big, no matter where they live. Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and I want to help make that happen for kids in places like Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, where the Foundation does so much of its work.

As a Scout, I’ve learned the importance of leadership, kindness, and giving back. Whether I’m hiking in the forests of British Columbia or helping out in my community, I’ve seen how small actions can create big change. Now, I’m taking that spirit global! I’ve set a goal to raise at lease $1,000 to support the Aga Khan Foundation’s efforts, and I’d be so grateful for any contribution you can make—whether it’s $5, $10, or more. Every little bit helps!
