In memory of Curt and in support of Becky and Willa

Hello friends and family,

We are asking for financial donations on behalf of Becky and Willa Vanderstelt, members of our Children's Cottage Co-op Preschool, located in Larkspur, CA. Becky, Willa and Curt joined the Children's Cottage family last school year, and immediately became dedicated and active members within our community. We are deeply saddened to share that Curt passed away July 31st while leading a youth ministry event to Alcatraz Island. We are asking our friends, family, neighbors, and members of our community to provide much-needed financial support to Becky and Willa. Please consider making a donation, no matter how small or large, to help alleviate the financial strain on the Vanderstelt Family.

Curt was a Pastor at Bay Hills Church, as well as a referee to local youth baseball and basketball games. He also had been working with peace officers and trauma support. Curt, Becky and Willa (age 3) are a terrific family; they have enriched our school community and touched countless lives at their congregation at Bay Hills through their service and friendship. Curt and Becky have been very engaged with the youth of our community of all ages and have been enormously generous. Now it is our turn to show our appreciation and love and help them through this difficult time.

Becky is a wonderful co-op parent at our school, and is a constant source of love and joy. She has an intuitive way of nurturing each our littles and we feel fortunate that Willa joined the Cottage family. Becky and Curt are amazing parents to Willa, who is blossoming into a curious, sweet, playful and endearing little one.

Willa also has a big sister Kendalyn (age 22) who lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Curt was very proud of Kendalyn and the independent woman she has become.

Curt's passing is devastating in so many ways and now Becky faces all of the upcoming decisions, both immediate and long term. The Cottage family would like to show our support by raising money for Becky. Your contribution goes directly to Becky and will enable her and Willa to stay focused on daily life, while enabling them to also navigate future plans.
