Hi everyone, I am organizing a fundraiser to help out my cousin and her family as they are facing a tough time.
Enzo was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome in 2023, a serious condition that has already required him to undergo four open-heart surgeries in his 18 months of life. Despite the challenges he faces every day, this brave little boy continues to show an incredible amount of joy, strength, and resilience. His smile lights up every room, and his energy is that of a true fighter.
On March 5, 2025, Enzo was hospitalized for the third time due to his condition. He now relies on oxygen and other life-saving interventions to stay stable, while his family holds onto hope and prays for his recovery. In the early hours of March 11, 2025, Enzo was flown from Winnipeg to Edmonton with the medical transport team for an urgent heart catheterization. The procedure was meant to open a narrow artery and block blue blood vessels that were affecting his oxygen. Sadly, even after the procedure, Enzo still needs oxygen, and his cardiology team is working tirelessly to figure out the next steps. He remains in the hospital, receiving the care he needs, but his family is uncertain about how long they will have to stay.
The uncertainty of Enzo’s recovery weighs heavily on his family. His previous hospital stay in Edmonton lasted 52 days. During this difficult time, the last thing they should have to worry about is finances. The cost of bills, travel, and daily needs adds up quickly, and your generous donations will help relieve some of that burden so they can focus fully on Enzo's care and healing.
If you feel moved to help in any way—whether through a donation or by sending something directly to the family—please reach out to Sani or Kim. Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, makes a difference, and the family is deeply grateful for your support during this incredibly challenging time.
Thank you for standing by Enzo and his family, showing them that they are not alone in this fight. Your generosity will help make a world of difference.
